Lego Lunch Club

Lego Lunch club takes place in school holidays and is aimed at 4 to 11 year olds accompanied by a responsible adult. The event usually starts at 11am with a biscuit and a drink, with lego building around a theme from a bible story.

Children and adults all enjoy the build and the conversations, in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We run the theme throughout the whole event, lunch (adults also invited) could be a fish finger sandwich if linked to a story such as 'Jonah and the Big Fish', followed by biscuits in the shape of boats.
We invite children to show and tell what they have made, but there is no pressure. Over lunch they think about how the story relates to their lives and both the lego and their thoughts are displayed. Fun is had by all, adults and children alike! The is no set charge for these sessions, instead we ask for donations to help cover our costs.

Recently the Bishop of Portsmouth visited our club and he was soon to be found building lego creations with the children.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Welcome

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect at any of our services.

Where and When

We meet at three locations, throughout the month. For your first visit, if you arrive 10-15 minutes before the service starts you will be greeted by a Sidesperson or  someone on our Welcome Team who will be wearing a Welcome lanyard.

We serve tea, coffee and biscuits after the main service on a Sunday morning unless it is Cafe Church in which case we start with a light breakfast. This provides an opportunity for you to get to know people within the church community.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access to both churches, a sound loop for anyone who needs it and disabled parking. Large print format service sheets are always available for those that need them - just ask as you come in. If you need information on any of these aspects do get in touch.

All are welcome

Activities for children are available at the majority of our services. In terms of church services, there is something for everyone, whether it be traditional, contemporary or reflective.

if you would like to find out more about which services are running, please view our calendar, fill in the form below or contact us at:
