Welcome to the Ministry Team

Revd Fiona, Revd Jill, Curate Lindsey and Lay Minister Stephen are all part of our Ministry Team.

Reverend Fiona Grove

Picture

Hi, I am Fiona and it’s my joy and privilege to lead the two churches in our benefice. I am passionate about showing God’s love and revelation in action whether through worship or activities in the community. I have spent many years in various forms of secular work and Christian ministry, from hospice work to schools and university chaplaincy as well as many years as a parish priest. I believe God has called me to be a leader in which I can help equip others to hear and respond to His word in their lives, and spread the transformative word of God to all in our community.

I love getting out and about and enjoying the place in which we live, meeting new people and discovering new places. I am an encourager and glass half-full person, and always try to find the positive in life. I love chatting over tea and cake or a glass or red and getting to know people for who they really are. Do say, "hi" if you see me around, I would love to chat.

Reverend Lindsey Crowhurst (Curate)

Stephen Campion (Lay Minister/Reader)

I was licensed as Lay Minister/Reader in 2001 and granted Permission to Officiate on reaching the age of 70 in 2020.  I play a major role in developing Lay worship leaders locally and within the Deanery. I am an experienced preacher, supporting ordained ministers by leading a range of non-eucharistic services from Choral Evensong to Cafe Church and funeral ministry. I was appointed Chaplain to the mayor of Winchester in the year 2023/4, the first non-ordained minister to hold that position. I had a professional career background in NHS management, with outside interests including Chairmanship of the Botley Choral Society, music, playing golf (badly!) and discovering new walks in the Hampshire countryside.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Welcome

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect at any of our services.

Where and When

We meet at three locations, throughout the month. For your first visit, if you arrive 10-15 minutes before the service starts you will be greeted by a Sidesperson or  someone on our Welcome Team who will be wearing a Welcome lanyard.

We serve tea, coffee and biscuits after the main service on a Sunday morning unless it is Cafe Church in which case we start with a light breakfast. This provides an opportunity for you to get to know people within the church community.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access to both churches, a sound loop for anyone who needs it and disabled parking. Large print format service sheets are always available for those that need them - just ask as you come in. If you need information on any of these aspects do get in touch.

All are welcome

Activities for children are available at the majority of our services. In terms of church services, there is something for everyone, whether it be traditional, contemporary or reflective.
